stayed here before in madrid, but hostal olga exceeded expectations - perfect location, friendly staff, comfortable room, everything in walking distance.
wifi didn't work properly.

The location was great - very central, but not in the thick of bars etc. The room was small but very clean and comfortable, light and bright and a cute little balcony. Bathroom tiny but adequate - great pressure in the shower. Staff were friendly and helpful, though had very limited English (as we had Spanish). Quite a family feel to the place and it suited my daughter and I very well and was good for the money.
Unfortunately there was some maintenance work being done on the building opposite, so a bit noisier than we expected. If this hadn't been going on, it would be a quiet spot. Would have liked to have been able to make a cup of tea, and could probably have asked, but didn't.

We had a fantastic stay in a centrally located hostel, just a short walk from the metro station. the room was clean, comfortable, and secure, with a large closet space. the staff were attentive and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. the hostel's great location allowed us to easily explore the city and visit excellent restaurants in the area. it was a wonderful experience.
The wifi was not always fast, but it didn't hinder our overall stay.

The rooms are very clean. The hotel is situated central but in a quiet street, though. The staff always was friendly.
Like at many hotels in Spain the walls are thin. You can hear noises from the corridor or next rooms.

Spanish people are already famous to be polite and friendly but the stuff of Hostal OIga is even over the average. The rooms are really clean and the position really good, just in the center of Madrid. The room has Cooling system, heater and television. People of the hotel doesn't speak English but they are really happy to help. They don't speak Italian, but they can easily understand you.
the hairdryer was very bad, but we didn't ask for e second one. and anyway: who cares?? every thing was perfect

The location was great, with easy access to all the attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. They provided little toiletries, which was a nice touch. The room was clean and well-maintained.
The wifi was really weak, especially in our room. It was frustrating not being able to connect properly.

The localization is perfect! Near from everything!
The bedroom was very simple and was a little noisy.

Excellent location in the heart of Madrid, in a small street no that busy, and very friendly staff, speaking English or French.
It's true that walls are not soundproof and we experienced it once with our neighbours talking very loud in the middle of the night. But no problem the other nights.

The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with all the essential amenities provided. the location of the hotel was fantastic, as it was situated within walking distance of many popular tourist attractions. there were plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and stores nearby, making it convenient for us to find everything we needed.
The soundproofing of the rooms was poor, and we could hear noise from the street and even from other guests in the adjacent rooms. This made it difficult to get a good night's sleep, especially when there were loud conversations late at night.

Everythign in this hostal is great: location (right in the middle of Madrid), it's refurbished and fresh, clean. It's quite small so that it's quiet. I will surely recommend this hostal to everybody who want to visit Madrid within few days.

Shower was excellent as was the WiFi and it's proximity to The Prado, the Thyssen and the Airport Shuttle Bus ( 10 minutes walk downhill). Atocha railway station was very close.
The hotel was basic but with lovely staff.
